Claudia Multer

Claudia’s love for swimming started at age 7 when she learned at the YMCA in Elgin, Illinois. After her family moved to Niagara Falls, NY, she continued swimming at school, and her passion for the water grew. Throughout her life, she swam at various locations, including the Catholic Club and a quarry in Toledo, Ohio, and later at Meadowdale in Hamilton, Ohio. After raising her children, Claudia became deeply involved in aquatics, volunteering as a YMCA coach, official, and eventually as the Aquatics Director.

Upon retirement, Claudia joined Powel Crosley Masters, not as a competitor but as someone who enjoys swimming with others. Her favorite stroke is breaststroke, but she also enjoys focusing on all strokes, especially since she recently mastered butterfly. While she’s not focused on competing, Claudia’s goal is to complete a legal 400 IM and 200 Fly. Through small steps and consistent practice, she continues to enjoy her journey in swimming, appreciating the friendships and the opportunity to improve.
